Trick or Treat Fundraiser for Lost Dog!!!

Hi guys,

I'm Trick or Treating for Lost Dog this year! Lost Dog is such a wonderful organization! They have given me the opportunity to save almost 20 dogs in the last year. I can't thank them enough for all of the good that they do!

Will is asking his family and I'm asking you! If we can raise $100 for LDCRF, then we can name one of the many lucky dogs that they save. We're asking for $10 donations (more or less). I'm going to set the name of our dog to a vote and you can buy one vote for each $10 you donate. If you chose to donate online, then make sure to add my name as your volunteer so that it counts for our team or you can just give me cash or check.

I'll call you to explain more in the next few days. Let's save some puppies and kitties!!!

Meet Birdie!

Birdie stayed with us for a weekend a couple weeks ago and now she's back! We got a lot off emails with her new pictures!

Lucia and Mamah are Buddies!

Lucia and Mamah have really bonded. They are constant buddies and Mamah has quite a soft spot for this little one! We have a family coming out to meet her at our place so hopefully it goes well!

Lucia's Updated Bio

Lucia

Thank you to in memory of Gretchen Harrison for becoming the Pal for Paws Sponsor for Lucia
Breed: Shepherd mix
Sex: Female
Age: Approx. 12 month(s)
Color: Brown
Size: Approx. 45 lbs
Good with Kids?: Yes
Good with Cats?: Yes
Good with Dogs?: Yes
Lucia came to us shy and scared from Puerto Rico with her sister Laura. Since then Lucia has blossomed into a silly sweetheart, who greets you with tail wags so big that her whole butt shakes with her stubby tail. Lucia loves to be loved and is a big kisser. She can’t get enough ear scratches and belly rubs. Due to her rocky past, Lucia can be shy with strangers, but she warms up very quickly. Give her a day to settle in and she’ll be licking your fingers and pawing for attention. Lucia loves other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog to show her the ropes. She is also good with kitties so she can be everyone’s buddy. Lucia loves to play and chew on her antler bones on giant dog beds. She also enjoys the outdoors and going for long walks. She’d be an excellent hiking buddy. Lucia is crate-trained and well on her way to being housetrained. She is also working on her basic commands. She LOVES treats so she learns quickly and has been a joy to train. Lucia may take a little more effort to get to know, but she is worth every bit of it. Don’t miss out on this love bug!

Trixie adopted and coming back...

Trixie got adopted, but is coming back this weekend. We'll be taking her back in addition to Lucia, but I don't think we'll have her for long because the other family that previously had a three legged dog is still interested.

Lucia is coming along!

Meet Lucia!!!

Meet our shy little Lucia, a 10 month old Shepherd mix from Puerto Rico. Lucia and her sister, Laura, were strays and are both extremely shy. No one could touch them at adoption events and they seemed impossible... So we brought one home naturally... Ha ha.

Today is only day two and already Lucia is my shadow. In fact, I've been typing with one hand because she paws me when I stop petting her! I've been getting lots of kisses. Housebreaking may be a challenge, but she is already doing well on our walks. Poor baby saw her sibling hit by a car, so she's understandably scared.

Will has been great with her and we've been a nice team. Will keep you updated!

I love my Trixie!

No adoption for Trixie this week, but looks like a couple that met her on Friday is hoping to adopt her this coming weekend. As you can tell from the picture, I really really love this sweetie!

Most dogs have three legs, some have four. That’s how Trixie the triped sees things. This amazing girl may only have three legs, but she can run, jump, and climb stairs with the best of them! She just has an extra bounce in her step! In fact, she is great on walks and really enjoys the outdoors. Most importantly, Trixie is an absolute love bug. She loves people of all ages, other dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and kitties too! So she can be everyone’s buddy. She is an expert snuggler and can’t get enough ear scratches and belly rubs. Trixie is one happy puppy! She is always waiting to greet you with enthusiastic tail wags and kisses. Trixie is housetrained and knows some basic commands. She LOVES treats and has been a joy to train, so she will know even more by the time you meet her! Don’t miss out this unique sweetheart!

Meet Trixie!

This is our newest puppy, Trixie the triped lab retriever mix. She is incredibly sweet and it fast for a dog with three legs. I love her already.

Ellie got adopted!!!!!

The nicest family ever adopted Ellie today. The mom is going through chemo so she really needs a napping buddy and the kids have been working towards convincing their parents for years. So I could not have wished for a better family for her.
